We ensure that potential migrant workers receive thorough pre-departure training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the challenges of living and working abroad. Our training programs cover:

  • Rights and Responsibilities: Educating migrant workers on their rights and responsibilities to ensure they are well-informed and can advocate for themselves.
  • Cultural Orientation: Providing insights into the cultural norms and expectations of the destination country to help workers adapt more easily.
  • Health and Safety: Offering guidance on maintaining personal health and safety while abroad.

Advocacy and Representation

MILTA acts as a unified voice for the interests of PDTCs and migrant workers, engaging with:

  • Government Bodies: Collaborating with the Ministry of Gender, Labour, and Social Development, and other relevant government agencies to influence policy and ensure the rights of migrant workers are upheld.
  • International Organizations: Partnering with organizations such as the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to align our programs with global standards and practices.
  • Recruitment Agencies: Working with recruitment agencies to ensure ethical recruitment practices and compliance with national and international standards.

Support Services

We offer a broad range of support services to ensure the well-being of migrant workers, including:

  • Consulting Services: Providing expert advice on migration-related issues to PDTCs, migrant workers, and their families.
